Joe Biden’s Daughter Just Made A Massive Revelation About Her Dad’s 2020 Presidential Plans

Ashley Biden may have just revealed some exciting news about her father’s aspirations for 2020.

Joe Biden, an American politician, became an attorney in 1969. He was first elected to the Senate in 1972 becoming the sixth-youngest senator in US history. By the time he resigned to become Vice President, Biden was the fourth most senior senator.

During his time as a chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Biden dealt with many issues such as drug policy, crime prevention, and civil liberties. He led legislative efforts to create the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act along with the Violence Against Women Act.

Biden unsuccessfully pursued the democratic presidential election in 1988 and 2008, but in 2008 Barack Obama selected Biden as his running mate. Joe Biden was jointly elected twice alongside Obama- serving as the 47th Vice President from 2009-2017.

During his time in the Obama administration, Biden’s unique ability to negotiate with congressional Republicans aided in passing many pieces of key legislation. In 2011, he helped in resolving the debt ceiling crisis with the Budget Control Act of 2011. Biden contributed to the relief of the impending fiscal cliff with the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012.

The former Vice President played a significant role during the Obama-era, becoming one of Obama’s most valued trustees. Many make a strong, positive correlation between Obama and Biden, so when rumors began circulating of a potential Biden presidential run, people were thrilled.

What’s Happening Now:

Throughout the end of his second term as Vice President and in the midst of presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s popularity declining, Biden considered preparing a bid for the 2016 presidential nomination.

Ultimately, Biden decided against running due to the emotional strain of losing his son Beau to cancer just a few months earlier. On the matter, he said, “nobody has a right … to seek that office unless they’re willing to give it 110% of who they are.”.

Biden has openly condemned the questionable actions of Trump in recent months, showing many that he has what it takes to take a stance on issues that need to be addressed in our current political climate- giving him an edge of popularity among liberal voters.

Recently, Biden’s daughter, Ashley, has said that she believes her father is considering running for president in 2020. When asked if her father would run in an interview with Women’s Wear Daily, she responded with “I hope so.”, reflecting many others hopes for the 2020 election.

Ashley stressed that a lot could happen in the next four years, so a decision is still up in the air.

“Right now, his focus is on the (Biden) Foundation and Cancer Moonshot, as well as getting other Democrats elected. He’s not there. He’s taking it day by day after the loss of my dear beloved brother (Beau),” she said.

“He’ll make a decision when that time comes,” she added. “A lot can happen in four years and we know this as a family. If he is in good health, knock on wood, and seeing what the landscape is at the time, yeah, I think he is considering it.”
