Ex-CIA Director Just Launched A Scathing Attack On Trump That’s Dropping Jaws

Former CIA Director John Brennan took to Twitter on Friday to criticize President Donald Trump for his attacks on former FBI Director James Comey.

In a tweet, Brennan claimed that Trump’s “kakistocracy is collapsing after its lamentable journey.”

“As the greatest Nation history has known, we have the opportunity to emerge from this nightmare stronger & more committed to ensuring a better life for all Americans, including those you have so tragically deceived,” Brennan wrote.

The term kakistocracy refers to a system of government that is run by the worst or least-qualified citizens.

Since his inauguration, Americans from both sides of the aisle have been criticizing the president for hiring inexperienced personnel to top offices, such as Betsy DeVos as Secretary of Education, who immediately faced severe disapproval. Trump himself was notably inexperienced in the field of politics before becoming the commander in chief.

Brennan’s tweet came as a response to a recent Twitter meltdown by the president, in which he posted a series of tweets about the former FBI director. During the meltdown on Friday, Trump called Comey a “leaker,” a “liar,” and an “untruthful slimeball.”

James Comey is a proven LEAKER & LIAR. Virtually everyone in Washington thought he should be fired for the terrible job he did-until he was, in fact, fired. He leaked CLASSIFIED information, for which he should be prosecuted. He lied to Congress under OATH,” Trump tweeted.

“He is a week and untruthful slime ball who was, as time has proven, a terrible Director of the FBI. His handling of the Crooked Hillary Clinton case, and the events surrounding it, will go down as one of the worst “botch jobs” of history. It was my great honor to fire James Comey!”

Trump’s Twitter thread came just after media outlets reported on excerpts of Comey’s upcoming book. In the book, Comey mentioned that Trump asked him to probe the notorious “pee tape” mentioned in the Steele dossier in order to disprove its existence.

The dossier had alleged that Trump hired prostitutes to urinate on a bed that former President Obama had used during a stay at the Moscow Ritz-Carlton.

The book also featured a segment where Comey described Trump as “untethered to truth.”

Brennan’s reaction to Trump was not irregular. The former CIA director has typically been a vocal opponent of Trump.

Just last month, Brennan warned that lawmakers who defended the president would face “a reckoning.” His criticisms of the president seem to be following a pattern of escalation as they have become more pronounced in the last few months.
